Emergency Services:
- Call 9-1-1 if someone’s health or safety is in jeopardy that requires immediate action from the Police, Ambulance, or Fire. The 9-1-1 service is available on the Sunshine Coast through E-Comm in metro Vancouver or you may get a Vancouver Island Dispatcher. Make sure that you give the address and inform them that the emergency is on the Sunshine Coast: Camp Byng, 2139 Lower Road, Roberts Creek, BC, V0N 2W6
In case of any emergency service, please inform the Camp Ranger immediately.

Gibsons Medical Clinic:
Location: Unit 211-1100 Sunshine Coast Highway, Gibsons.
Telephone: 604-886-2868 – call for an appointment.
Hours: (Call ahead to confirm hours of operation)
Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon (may close early if not busy)
Closed Sundays and holidays.
Walk-in clinic: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Directions: About 5.4 km from camp. From the main gate, turn right (East) onto Lower Road to the Sunshine Coast Highway (stop sign), and turn right (East) onto the Sunshine Coast Highway. Continue through four traffic lights. The clinic is on the right.
Sechelt Hospital:
Location: 5544 Sunshine Coast Highway, Sechelt.
Telephone: 604-885-2224 – to contact the Emergency Department, press 0, and ask to be transferred to the Emergency Department.
Hours: Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day.
Directions: About 16 km from camp. From the main gate, turn left (West) onto Lower Road to Roberts Creek Road (stop sign). Turn right (North) onto Roberts Creek Road and proceed to the Sunshine Coast Highway (traffic light). Turn left (West) and proceed on the Sunshine Coast Highway to Sechelt. There is one traffic light in Wilson Creek – continue to follow the highway. At the next traffic light, merge into the right-hand lane and take the right-hand exit lane just before the light. The entrance to St. Mary’s Hospital is the first driveway on the left just before the end of the paved road. Follow the signs to the Emergency Department. Travel time is about 20 minutes.
